American Truck Simulator brings the Truck Simulator series to a scaled-down United States, with American conventional semi-trucks and recognizable locations. The loop centers on taking cargo contracts and driving them to their destinations. Czech studio SCS Software developed it on the Prism3D engine and released it in February 2016 as a counterpart to Euro Truck Simulator 2, and it has sold over 6 million copies.
Assetto Corsa, whose Italian name translates to Race Setup, is a sim racing game built around realistic driving along with deep customisation and mod support. Players take a wide range of cars onto tracks that include laser-scanned circuits, with new content arriving through updates. It was developed by Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni, spent time in Early Access from 2013, and was fully released in December 2014, earning a Metacritic score of 85.
Bloody Rally Show pairs top-down arcade racing with the premise of a violent televised contest. Drivers drift around tracks, use boosts and fire at rivals, all while trying to keep an audience and its sponsors satisfied. Up to four players can compete together in local multiplayer. It was built and self-published by Kodo Linija, a studio from Lithuania, and released in 2020 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
Darkwind: War on Wheels is an online multiplayer game of armed cars, where races and road battles are resolved in turns rather than in real time. Its post-apocalyptic world draws on the Car Wars tabletop game and the Mad Max films while keeping a setting of its own. Created by Irish developer Sam Redfern under Psychic Software, it opened to players in 2007 and has kept receiving updates, arriving on Steam as a free-to-play release in 2014.
Earn to Die 2 is a driving action game in which players push a vehicle through zombie-filled cities, aiming for checkpoints and the finish line of each level. It follows the original Earn to Die, a flash and mobile title, but trades that game's desert backdrop for urban streets. It was developed by the Russian indie studio Toffee Games and published on Steam by Not Doppler in 2016.
Elasto Mania Remastered revisits a 2D motorbike game first released in 2000, in which you ride a bike with very springy suspension across platform-style levels. Most stages ask you to touch scattered waypoints before the finish becomes active, and players compete online to set record times, often by discovering new routes. The remaster comes from the Elasto Mania Team and Balazs Rozsa in Hungary, released on Steam in 2020.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a non-linear truck simulator set across a compressed version of Europe. Players haul cargo between cities in articulated trucks, then expand into a business by purchasing more vehicles and depots and hiring drivers. Czech developer SCS Software built it on its own Prism3D engine and released it in 2012 as a sequel to Euro Truck Simulator; the intro reports over 22 million units sold.
Joe Danger is a stunt racing game with platforming elements, putting players in control of a daredevil who tears through courses against the clock while chasing objectives to unlock further rounds. Reviewers liked its approachable play and the option to edit tracks while playing them. It was made and published by Hello Games, a British studio, first launching in 2010, and it was nominated for the Independent Games Festival grand prize.
SkyDrift is an airplane racing game where the focus falls on combat racing: pilots speed over detailed terrain while fighting rival planes for position. Several game modes are included, and players can unlock new aircraft and personalise them with racing skins. Hungarian studio Digital Reality developed it and released it in 2011; critics praised its responsive controls and online multiplayer while regretting the absence of local multiplayer.
SpeedRunners is a side-scrolling multiplayer racer in which up to four players run, jump and swing through levels while trying to knock rivals off the screen. Weapons and pickups add chaos, and matches can be played locally or online. It was developed by Dutch studio DoubleDutch Games on Microsoft XNA, published by tinyBuild, and fully released in 2016 after early access; the Electronic Sports League recognised it as an esport in 2015.
Trailblazers is a racing game, tagged on Steam with action, sports and casual categories alongside racing. It was developed by Supergonk, a studio from the United Kingdom, and published by Rising Star Games. The game came out in May 2018 on Windows, Mac and Linux through Steam, with console editions for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch landing in that same month.
What the Car? is a comedy racing game from Triband, a studio based in Denmark, first released on Apple Arcade in 2023 and on Windows in September 2024. Players steer a car to the end of each level, but the way it moves and is controlled keeps changing in surprising ways, with stages parodying many different genres. Conceived as a successor to What the Golf?, it went on to win a 2024 D.I.C.E. honour as the year's top mobile game.
Wreckfest is a racing game built around demolition derby, mixing destruction arenas with conventional track races. Its soft-body damage model means crashes deform specific parts of a car and change how it handles, and vehicles can be upgraded in depth. Finnish studio Bugbear, creator of FlatOut, made it as that series' spiritual successor, and THQ Nordic released the Windows version in June 2018.
You Suck at Parking is an action racing game where the goal is to steer a car past obstacles and slide it neatly into a parking spot, level after level. Beyond the solo stages, a multiplayer mode lets up to eight players compete. It was developed by Belgian studio Happy Volcano and released in 2022, with Curve handling publishing, and reviews at launch were broadly average.
Billies Wheelie is a racing platformer starring Billie, a hamster rolling around in an exercise ball. You boost, drift and jump through obstacle tracks, collect cheese for rewards, customise your hamster and ball, and race up to eight players online in co-op or PvP. It was developed by M4DOOM, which the IsaKaba MENA games directory lists as a Saudi Arabian developer.
Heistfest is a top-down action racer in which the player is a getaway driver who robs banks and outruns growing police forces. Chases move through destructible, hand-drawn black-and-white cities inspired by real places from Italy to Egypt, and the pressure rises from cruisers to tanks and airstrikes. The Tunisian studio Amilcar Technologies developed it and released it in Steam Early Access in October 2025 with support from indie.io.
Highway Drifter: Hajwala Simulator is a drifting game built around hajwala, the Gulf street-driving subculture of high-speed highway drifts. Players customise their cars, tune the physics settings and drift across desert highways, mountain roads and city streets, with steering-wheel support. It is made by Mad Hook, a studio based in Amman, Jordan, which also released it on PlayStation 5, including as a physical disc.
Rocket Boots Mania mixes racing and platforming around rocket-powered parkour. You boost, power-slide, wall-run and fly through more than 70 levels across four worlds, build and share tracks in a create mode, and race online or chase leaderboard times. It is the live title of Luma Play, a studio based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that describes the game as Parkour Trackmania.
Tarah, a slang term for a skilled driver, is a free PC racing game with solo races and online multiplayer across desert and city tracks by day and night. Players unlock cars modelled on locally popular models and customise them with parts and upgrades. It was developed by Dannana, a games studio based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Chase is a 2.5D arcade driving game in which players flee from the police while grabbing cash and completing missions. Progress unlocks new cars and comic characters, and the game is played in short, score-driven runs. It is the PC release of one of the best-known mobile series by Mad Hook, a game studio based in Amman, Jordan, whose chase games are also available on mobile and PlayStation.
The Infinity Road is a free endless driving game modelled on classic car-dodging arcade games. You steer to avoid traffic and chase a high score across four modes, with classic and modern control schemes and hard versions of each that reach top speed faster. It was developed by OONY TEAM, which describes itself as a Saudi indie game studio run by four members of the Aljunibi family.
