American Truck Simulator brings the Truck Simulator series to a scaled-down United States, with American conventional semi-trucks and recognizable locations. The loop centers on taking cargo contracts and driving them to their destinations. Czech studio SCS Software developed it on the Prism3D engine and released it in February 2016 as a counterpart to Euro Truck Simulator 2, and it has sold over 6 million copies.
Bloody Rally Show pairs top-down arcade racing with the premise of a violent televised contest. Drivers drift around tracks, use boosts and fire at rivals, all while trying to keep an audience and its sponsors satisfied. Up to four players can compete together in local multiplayer. It was built and self-published by Kodo Linija, a studio from Lithuania, and released in 2020 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
Darkwind: War on Wheels is an online multiplayer game of armed cars, where races and road battles are resolved in turns rather than in real time. Its post-apocalyptic world draws on the Car Wars tabletop game and the Mad Max films while keeping a setting of its own. Created by Irish developer Sam Redfern under Psychic Software, it opened to players in 2007 and has kept receiving updates, arriving on Steam as a free-to-play release in 2014.
Earn to Die 2 is a driving action game in which players push a vehicle through zombie-filled cities, aiming for checkpoints and the finish line of each level. It follows the original Earn to Die, a flash and mobile title, but trades that game's desert backdrop for urban streets. It was developed by the Russian indie studio Toffee Games and published on Steam by Not Doppler in 2016.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a non-linear truck simulator set across a compressed version of Europe. Players haul cargo between cities in articulated trucks, then expand into a business by purchasing more vehicles and depots and hiring drivers. Czech developer SCS Software built it on its own Prism3D engine and released it in 2012 as a sequel to Euro Truck Simulator; the intro reports over 22 million units sold.
SpeedRunners is a side-scrolling multiplayer racer in which up to four players run, jump and swing through levels while trying to knock rivals off the screen. Weapons and pickups add chaos, and matches can be played locally or online. It was developed by Dutch studio DoubleDutch Games on Microsoft XNA, published by tinyBuild, and fully released in 2016 after early access; the Electronic Sports League recognised it as an esport in 2015.
Trailblazers is a racing game, tagged on Steam with action, sports and casual categories alongside racing. It was developed by Supergonk, a studio from the United Kingdom, and published by Rising Star Games. The game came out in May 2018 on Windows, Mac and Linux through Steam, with console editions for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch landing in that same month.
What the Car? is a comedy racing game from Triband, a studio based in Denmark, first released on Apple Arcade in 2023 and on Windows in September 2024. Players steer a car to the end of each level, but the way it moves and is controlled keeps changing in surprising ways, with stages parodying many different genres. Conceived as a successor to What the Golf?, it went on to win a 2024 D.I.C.E. honour as the year's top mobile game.
