Cairo Metro Remastered is a free first-person survival horror game that mixes puzzles, exploration and psychological tension, with the puzzles tied to its story. A session lasts about half an hour and it supports Arabic and English. Its creator, Youssef, says he built everything himself in under two months, from code to enemy AI and interface. The itch.io page is written in Egyptian Arabic and accepts Egyptian payment methods.
Implements of Hell is a short first-person psychological horror game set in a realistic house in 1910. The player explores the rooms, uncovers the secrets behind a series of unsettling events and can change how the story ends; a full run takes around 90 minutes. The pace is slow and atmospheric rather than action-driven. It is made by PsychoRavens, an Egyptian team that showed its work in the indie area of the Insomnia Egypt gaming festival.
Omitted is a first-person psychological horror game set in an abandoned hospital from 1917 that is still full of forgotten patients. Players move through dark corridors and past the inmates while trying to recover the protagonist's memory of why he is there. Working out the story is the key to finishing it. It is the second horror game from PsychoRavens, an Egyptian indie team that followed it up with the co-op title Project Unknown.
Project Unknown is an online co-op horror game in which players join a firm that clears ghosts out of cheap, haunted properties so clients can sell them. Each playable character has special abilities, and teams use tools and RPG-style progression to study ghost patterns and exorcise them. It builds on the single-player horror of the team's earlier games. It was developed by Egyptian team PsychoRavens and published by Nightmare Studios.
False Exit is a first-person psychological horror game set in a hospital that loops. Each pass through the building changes the space, from flickering lights to distorted rooms, and a hostile presence reacts to how the player moves and looks around. It relies on observation and tension rather than combat. It is the first commercial release of Halal Games Studio, an Egypt-based team founded by Hassan Sherif that avoids content it considers against Islamic principles.
