About the game — TGN editorial note
Za-id is a tile-compounding score-chaser in which the player steers a crawler, merges matching tiles and chains them into a growing score on a mosaic board. Rarer tiles inspired by different cultures unlock over time, and coverage of the game compares it to a mix of Snake and Tetris with Moroccan zellige art. Its Moroccan developer, credited as ard Games at Gamescom 2026 and as Khhh! Games on Steam, has a mobile version out and a Steam version in development.
