Unrailed! is a cooperative construction game from Indoor Astronaut, a Swiss developer, built with MonoGame and published by Daedalic Entertainment. Players work together to build railway track through endless, procedurally generated worlds, dealing with random encounters, upgrading the train and keeping it from running off the rails. After an early access period that began in 2019, the full release came in September 2020.

Choices made along the way shape how the story develops, and the plot involves an alien conspiracy. VA-11 Hall-A is a cyberpunk visual novel in which the player works behind the counter of a small bar in a bleak city. Instead of choosing dialogue, you mix and serve cocktails, and those orders shape where the nonlinear story goes as regulars share their lives. It was made by Sukeban Games from Venezuela in GameMaker and released in 2016. The project grew out of an entry for a 2014 cyberpunk game jam, and its look draws on PC-98 era games and anime.

Valhalla Hills is a city-building strategy game in which you guide a tribe of Vikings as they build up and sustain a settlement. Each map ends with the goal of reaching a portal at the top of a mountain that leads to Valhalla. Funatics Software, a studio in Germany, developed it in Unreal Engine 4, and Daedalic Entertainment published it in 2015. Two expansions, Sand of the Damned and Fire Mountains, later added new locations and enemies.

Vambrace: Cold Soul is a dark fantasy roguelike RPG in which Evelia Lyric, bearer of a mysterious magical vambrace, leads expeditions into Icenaire, a haunted city buried beneath ice. Between runs players return to the safe district of Dalearch to craft gear and assemble parties of procedurally generated adventurers. Exploration happens in real time while fights are turn-based, and every trip wears down the group. South Korean studio Devespresso Games released it in 2019.

It is set in an original steampunk world, where the hero finds himself stranded before a colossal tower rising from the middle of an ocean. Exploring the tower means uncovering what the place is, what happened inside it and who the protagonist really is.

Built in Unity by independent studios M2H and the Netherlands-based BlackMill Games, it left Steam Early Access in April 2015 and later reached consoles.

VVVVVV is a puzzle platformer where you cannot jump; instead you flip gravity so Captain Viridian falls up or down. You guide the captain through over 400 rooms to find a crew scattered by a teleporter accident, and the game also supports levels made by players. It was created by Terry Cavanagh from Ireland, first built in Adobe Flash and released in 2010, and a later C++ port helped it reach many more platforms.

Ziggurat is a roguelite first-person shooter structured as a dungeon crawl, taking its inspiration from Heretic and Hexen: Beyond Heretic. Steam also lists it under action and role-playing. You wake with no memory, carrying only a flashlight and a cassette player, and search for six tapes whose anonymous messages calm your rising heart rate while slowly restoring your past. The forest becomes more hostile with each tape. It is a game by Danar Dev, the label of Kurdish Iraqi solo developer Danar Kayfi, and it also appears on his itch.io page.

It is the first PC release from TACSOU, the one-person studio of Moroccan developer Soufiane Tacherifine, and it is also sold on Nintendo Switch.

Towers range from miniguns and cannons to sawblades, and treasure chests grant power-ups for you, your dwarves and your defences. It entered early access in late 2025. It is the second game from Northend Games, an independent studio based in Baghdad, Iraq.
