112 Operator puts players in charge of emergency services, taking incoming calls and choosing which first responders to dispatch to each incident. It blends simulation with real-time strategy, and a series of downloadable content updates widened the range of emergencies, services and scenarios on offer. Polish studio Jutsu Games developed it and Games Operators published it in 2020; the game is built on Unity 2018 and received average reviews at launch.
60 Seconds! opens with a nuclear bomb about to strike a suburban town and gives a family of four one frantic minute to grab whatever supplies they can. The rest of the game is about surviving on that haul and, eventually, escaping to somewhere safer. Polish studio Robot Gentleman developed and self-published it in May 2015; the project began as an experiment to test whether Unity suited the team, and a remastered edition arrived in 2019.
In 911 Operator you take on the job of an emergency call handler, answering incoming calls and deciding whether police, paramedics or firefighters should be sent to each incident. Steam classes it as casual simulation and strategy. Polish studio Jutsu Games built it after a successful Kickstarter campaign in the summer of 2016, and it launched on PC in February 2017, later followed by a sequel, 112 Operator, in 2020.
Carrion flips the usual horror setup: instead of fleeing a creature, you are the tentacled monster, slithering through a research facility and hunting down the humans who stand in your path. Play centres on navigating the complex and ambushing the people inside, an approach its creators label reverse horror. It comes from Polish studio Phobia Game Studio, was published by Devolver Digital in 2020, and runs on the MonoGame framework.
Cinders retells the Cinderella story in the form of a visual novel. Polish indie studio MoaCube developed and published it, debuting it on PC and Mac in 2012; Nintendo Switch received it in 2019, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions came in 2020. The game was built with GameMaker and is listed on Steam as an adventure title with an indie tag.
In Driftland: The Magic Revival, players build up an empire across a fantasy world that magic has badly damaged, in a real-time strategy design that borrows ideas from 4X games. Polish studio Star Drifters developed and published it in 2019 using Unreal Engine 4. Steam lists it under strategy, simulation and RPG, and it holds a Metacritic score of 76.
Playing as either a priest or a journalist, you battle plague-ridden zombies and cultists through the strange town of Pestisville in Forgive Me Father, a first-person shooter. Polish developer Byte Barrel built it with Unreal Engine 4 and released it in 2022, with Fulqrum Publishing handling publishing. The game did well enough to lead to a sequel, which entered early access in 2023, and it holds a Metacritic score of 74.
Green Hell drops the player into the Amazon rainforest with little more than their wits. Staying alive means crafting tools, hunting, gathering resources and building anything from a crude shelter to a fortified base, and the jungle can be tackled alone or in co-op with friends. It was developed by Creepy Jar of Poland, released on Windows in 2019, and later reached several console generations before development wrapped up in 2024.
Hatred is an isometric shooter in which the player controls a misanthropic killer on a violent rampage against civilians. Polish studio Destructive Creations developed and self-published it in 2015 using Unreal Engine 4, pitching it as a response to trends such as political correctness and games as art. Its reveal trailer drew controversy, Valve briefly pulled it from Steam Greenlight before restoring it, and critics largely called the finished game repetitive.
House Flipper is a simulation game whose title points to its theme of renovating homes. Steam lists it under simulation, casual and strategy among other tags. Polish developer Empyrean made it, with Frozen District and PlayWay as publishers, launching in May 2018. A mobile edition came out in 2020 and a sequel, House Flipper 2, followed in December 2023, though the available sources do not describe its mechanics in detail.
Real estate flipping is the theme of House Flipper 2, a casual simulation built around the business of renovating homes for resale. It follows the original House Flipper from 2018 and was released for Windows in 2023. Development was handled by Polish studio Frozen District together with Empyrean, with Frozen District and PlayWay sharing publishing duties. The sequel holds a Metacritic score of 79.
In Infection Free Zone, a viral outbreak has turned most of humanity into aggressive infected, and you must keep a community of survivors alive. By day you direct groups as they scavenge for supplies and fortify their settlement; after dark, those defences are tested by waves of attackers. Polish studio Jutsu Games developed it, Games Operators handles publishing, and it entered Steam early access in April 2024 for Windows.
Drawing on the real Dyatlov Pass incident of February 1959, Kholat has players retrace the route of nine students who vanished on the mountain Kholat Syakhl, a name meaning Dead Mountain in the Mansi language. It is a survival horror experience built in Unreal Engine 4 by Polish studio IMGN.PRO, which also published it. The Windows version launched in June 2015, with a Nintendo Switch release following in 2020.
Movie Games Lunarium, a Polish developer, made Lust for Darkness as an erotic horror adventure first released in 2018 for Windows and macOS. Its story draws on the imagery of Giger and Beksiński as well as the writing of Lovecraft. Console versions for Switch and PlayStation 4 followed via publisher SimFabric in 2019 and 2020, and a sequel, Lust from Beyond, arrived in 2021.
Following on from Lust for Darkness, Lust from Beyond is a 2021 erotic horror game from Polish developer Movie Games Lunarium, published by Movie Games. Like its predecessor, it tells a sexually charged horror story shaped by the art of Beksiński and Giger and the fiction of Lovecraft. On Steam it is listed as an action-adventure title for Windows, and it continues the same unsettling world.
Mikołaj Kamiński, an independent creator from Poland who works under the name Sos Sosowski, made McPixel, a comedic puzzle game first released in 2012. Kamiński handled publishing himself, bringing it to Steam in September 2012 for Windows and Mac. Steam files it under action and adventure alongside its indie tag, and it holds a Metacritic score of 76.
Set in a 1930s world populated by anthropomorphic mice, Mouse: P.I. for Hire casts players as private investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by Troy Baker, as he digs into a mysterious case around the fictional town of Mouseburg. The action plays out as a first-person shooter. Polish studio Fumi Games developed it and PlaySide Studios published it in April 2026, and it earned generally favourable reviews along with a Metacritic score of 80.
A first-person shooter from Polish studio Buckshot Software, Project Warlock was released in 2018 and published by Gaming Company. Its most remarkable story is its creator: Jakub Cislo built the game at the age of 18 while still attending high school. The game holds a Metacritic score of 78, and it was followed by Project Warlock II, which entered early access in 2022 and saw a full release in 2025.
A 2020 follow-up to Superhot, Mind Control Delete keeps the series in first-person shooter territory while layering roguelike elements onto the mechanics of the 2016 original. It was developed and self-published by Superhot Team, an independent studio based in Poland, and released on Steam for Windows, macOS and Linux. The game carries a Metacritic score of 78 and is tagged on Steam as an indie action title.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a first-person open-world action RPG set in a dark reinterpretation of the Arthurian myths. Players roam a land frozen in perpetual autumn and make choices that steer a branching storyline. Polish developer Questline built it, with Awaken Realms publishing; it spent time in early access from 2023 before its full release in May 2025, and holds a Metacritic score of 80.
A dark graphic adventure, The Cat Lady comes from Polish developer Harvester Games and was first released in 2012. It forms the second chapter of the Devil Came Through Here trilogy, following Downfall from 2009 and preceding Lorelai, which closed the series in 2019. The game was built with Adventure Game Studio and published by Screen 7, and it holds a Metacritic score of 81.
A 2D cinematic platformer from Polish studio Puzzling Dream, The Way follows a space explorer who cannot come to terms with his wife's death. After discovering ancient texts about eternal existence on one of his final expeditions, he returns to that site hoping to bring her back. PlayWay published it for Windows in 2016, and its play combines platforming with puzzle solving.
Thief Simulator is an open-world stealth game about working as a burglar. Players scout targets to learn their routines, break into homes to take valuables, fence the loot and reinvest the money in better equipment for tougher jobs. It was developed by Noble Muffins from Poland, published by PlayWay, and released on Windows in November 2018 before arriving on Switch, PlayStation 4 and Quest 2.
This War of Mine looks at war from the viewpoint of ordinary civilians instead of soldiers on the front line. Players manage a small group of survivors in a city under siege, scavenging for food and medicine and facing hard moral choices that shape how each character's story ends. Polish studio 11 bit studios developed and published it in 2014, drawing on the siege of Sarajevo and other conflicts for inspiration.
