Playing as either a priest or a journalist, you battle plague-ridden zombies and cultists through the strange town of Pestisville in Forgive Me Father, a first-person shooter. Polish developer Byte Barrel built it with Unreal Engine 4 and released it in 2022, with Fulqrum Publishing handling publishing. The game did well enough to lead to a sequel, which entered early access in 2023, and it holds a Metacritic score of 74.
Hatred is an isometric shooter in which the player controls a misanthropic killer on a violent rampage against civilians. Polish studio Destructive Creations developed and self-published it in 2015 using Unreal Engine 4, pitching it as a response to trends such as political correctness and games as art. Its reveal trailer drew controversy, Valve briefly pulled it from Steam Greenlight before restoring it, and critics largely called the finished game repetitive.
Set in a 1930s world populated by anthropomorphic mice, Mouse: P.I. for Hire casts players as private investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by Troy Baker, as he digs into a mysterious case around the fictional town of Mouseburg. The action plays out as a first-person shooter. Polish studio Fumi Games developed it and PlaySide Studios published it in April 2026, and it earned generally favourable reviews along with a Metacritic score of 80.
A first-person shooter from Polish studio Buckshot Software, Project Warlock was released in 2018 and published by Gaming Company. Its most remarkable story is its creator: Jakub Cislo built the game at the age of 18 while still attending high school. The game holds a Metacritic score of 78, and it was followed by Project Warlock II, which entered early access in 2022 and saw a full release in 2025.
A 2020 follow-up to Superhot, Mind Control Delete keeps the series in first-person shooter territory while layering roguelike elements onto the mechanics of the 2016 original. It was developed and self-published by Superhot Team, an independent studio based in Poland, and released on Steam for Windows, macOS and Linux. The game carries a Metacritic score of 78 and is tagged on Steam as an indie action title.
Superhot is a first-person shooter from the Polish studio Superhot Team with one big idea: time only moves when you move. That turns every firefight into a slow, deliberate puzzle where you plan each step, grab weapons from enemies and dodge bullets in slow motion. Its minimalist red-and-white style is instantly recognizable.
