This Is the Police 2 mixes story-driven adventure with strategy, putting you in charge of a small-town sheriff's department. You assign officers to incidents, make difficult calls and fight turn-based tactical encounters while the returning protagonist, now living as Warren Nash, hides from federal agents in the fictional town of Sharpwood in 1987. It is a sequel from Belarusian developer Weappy Studio, published by THQ Nordic in 2018.
Trailblazers is a racing game, tagged on Steam with action, sports and casual categories alongside racing. It was developed by Supergonk, a studio from the United Kingdom, and published by Rising Star Games. The game came out in May 2018 on Windows, Mac and Linux through Steam, with console editions for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch landing in that same month.
Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story mixes a management sim with role-playing, putting you in charge of a school that trains adventurers. As students progress, they are sent out on quests, linking the running of the academy to RPG-style adventuring. The game was developed by Agate, a studio in Indonesia, and published by PQube, with its Steam release in 2018. Steam lists it under action, strategy, simulation and RPG.
Inquisitor – Martyr is an action RPG set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe that Games Workshop created for its wargaming franchise. Players take on the role of agents of the Inquisition, choosing between several classes and fighting in real time through the Chaos-corrupted Caligari Sector. Hungarian studio NeocoreGames both developed and published it, releasing the Windows version in June 2018, and it holds a Metacritic score of 67.
Wreckfest is a racing game built around demolition derby, mixing destruction arenas with conventional track races. Its soft-body damage model means crashes deform specific parts of a car and change how it handles, and vehicles can be upgraded in depth. Finnish studio Bugbear, creator of FlatOut, made it as that series' spiritual successor, and THQ Nordic released the Windows version in June 2018.
ZeroRanger is a scrolling shooter from System Erasure, a studio in Finland, released for Windows in September 2018 and built with GameMaker. It is mostly a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up, though some levels switch to side-scrolling. Players pilot one of two space-capable fighter craft, earning new weapons and abilities by defeating bosses, including the power to transform into a mech.
Abo Khashem is a comedic open-world action RPG set in the City of Torrid. Players fight enemies with an unusual combat system, develop entrepreneurial skills, explore dangerous dungeons and look for hidden treasure. It was released on Steam in February 2018 and was also listed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was developed by Moving Dimensions, a studio from Saudi Arabia.
Amer: Cop Pursuit is a mobile arcade chase game in which the character Amer tries to stay ahead of the police. It offers an endless chase mode scored on survival time and a mission mode where players take down targets and escape to unlock new levels and cars. The game is developed by Mad Hook, a studio based in Amman, Jordan, and is the mobile side of its The Chase series.
Gomat is a mobile car game that combines drifting, drag races, burnout arenas and an open world to explore. Players choose from more than 60 cars, modify them, collect limited premium cars and special licence plates, and challenge friends online. It was released in early access by Game Cooks, a VR and mobile studio founded in Beirut by Lebanese brothers Arz and Lebnan Nader.
Misfits Run (Sebaq El Eyal) is an online multiplayer running race in which a gang of misfit characters compete on obstacle courses, using weapons, obstacles and each character's special ability to knock rivals out of the way. It supports ranked online races and an offline single-player mode. The game is developed by Chickmania Entertainment, a mobile studio founded in Amman, Jordan.
The Dark Occult is a psychological horror game in which players explore a haunted house while grotesque creatures threaten to kill them at any moment. The design keeps the player under constant pressure, building from anxiety into panic, with survival as the only goal.
